1. Introduction

Qlaunch ("the App") is developed by CapsD ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App works, what data it accesses, and your rights. Qlaunch is a productivity tool that enhances your Android launcher by auto-focusing the keyboard and auto-opening search results.

By using Qlaunch, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Accessibility Service

Qlaunch uses the Android Accessibility Service to provide its core functionality:

Auto-Focus Keyboard: Detects when the app drawer opens and automatically focuses the search bar.
Auto-Open Single Result: Detects when a single app matches your search and opens it automatically.

The Accessibility Service accesses only the launcher's UI elements (search bar, app list) to detect app drawer state. It does not:

Read your screen content, messages, or notifications
Record, monitor, or transmit any data
Perform actions outside of the launcher
Access any personal information

The Accessibility Service data stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

3. Data Collection

Qlaunch does not collect any personal data. There is:

No account creation or registration
No login required
No personal information collected (name, email, phone, location)
No usage analytics sent to our servers
No server-side data storage

All app preferences and settings are stored locally on your device using Android DataStore and are never transmitted anywhere.

4. Third-Party SDKs

Qlaunch integrates the following Google SDKs:

Google AdMob — Serves advertisements
Google Play Billing — Processes in-app purchases
Google Play Integrity — Verifies app integrity and device security

Each SDK operates under Google's own privacy policy. We do not control the data collected by these SDKs.

5. Advertising (AdMob)

Qlaunch displays advertisements using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use the following data to serve personalized ads:

Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
Device type and model
Operating system version
Network information
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

You can opt out of personalized advertising by:

Going to Settings → Google → Ads on your device and enabling "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
Visiting Google Ads Settings

Even with personalized ads disabled, you will still see ads, but they will not be tailored to your interests.

6. In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)

Qlaunch offers a "Lifetime Pro" in-app purchase. All purchase transactions are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not:

Store your credit card or payment information
Have access to your payment details
Process payments on our own servers

Purchase history is managed by your Google Play account and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

7. Device Integrity (Play Integrity)

Qlaunch uses the Google Play Integrity API to verify that the app has not been tampered with. This check communicates with Google's servers to confirm the app's integrity. The Play Integrity API is operated entirely by Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy.

8. Local Data Storage

Qlaunch stores the following data locally on your device using Android DataStore (encrypted preferences):

App settings (auto-focus, auto-open, theme, delays)
Pro status (trial start time, reward expiry, lifetime purchase status)
Master switch state

This data:

Is stored only on your device
Is never transmitted to any server
Is deleted automatically when you uninstall the App
Is not accessible to us or any third party

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with anyone. The only data transmission that occurs is:

AdMob SDK communicating with Google's ad servers (for ad serving)
Play Integrity API communicating with Google's servers (for integrity verification)
Play Billing communicating with Google Play (for purchase processing)

All of these are handled by Google and are subject to Google's privacy policy.

10. Children's Privacy

Qlaunch is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the App. Since Qlaunch does not collect or store personal data on external servers, there is minimal risk of data breach. The app uses R8 code obfuscation and Play Integrity verification to prevent tampering.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
